Call for Papers

Research topics of interest for this workshop include, but are not limited to:

  • Scalability, high-availability, and QoS in event-based systems and applications
  • Event processing languages, programming models, and software tools
  • Distributed event processing middleware, their design and implementation
  • Network protocols and routing support for event-based publish-subscribe systems
  • Algorithmic support for event pattern detection and event mining
  • Data management, persistence, and logging support for event-based systems
  • Event-driven architectures and their relation to service-oriented architecture
  • Security and privacy issues in event-based systems and applications
  • Mobile systems and issues in location-based event stream applications
  • Event processing on emerging hardware architectures (e.g., Cell processor)
  • User experience, requirements, and use cases of event-based applications
Submitted papers will be judged based on novelty of the idea, technical quality, clarity of presentation, and expected impact on future research within the area of focus.
