Assignment 1: An Introduction - warm up 50 pts
Send a message to the mailing list introducing yourself. The address of the list is below:

, you will soon received an automatic invitation at the address you have listed in your UGA records.
Create a directory on nike (cs.uga.edu) named either 4070 or 6070, under this directory create another directory named exactly:HW1
(2 upper case letters and one digit, the digit one). You will submit this directory as your first homework. The content of the directory should have 2 image files, and one text file.
- Image 1: A picture of your self: It should be about (500x800 pixels is a good image size)
The name of the image should be as follows.
Lastname,FirstName.JPG
(comma ',' between firstname and lastname, and please use capital letter for the first letter of Lastname, and first letter of FirstName, all other letters should be in lower case). The suffix should be JPG, where all letters are upper case.
Example Name:Hybinette,Maria.JPG

If you prefer that your image and name are not displayed on the web site, add a prefix denoting a public web name (e.g., "HappyPixel", this name is different from your secret name to display grade - as dicussed in class) enclosed it in double Xs (and hyphens) on each side, as follows:XX-HappyPixels-XX-Hybinette,Maria.JPG
. We will use this name to link to your game gallery.
(we use scripts to parse your name and generate the web page, so it is is important that you follow the naming convention outlined).
- Image 2: A picture representing your favorite game - in the
PNG
image format, you should name thisGameName,FirstName.PNG.
The game name needs to be one word, e.g., if my favorite game is "Candy Crush Saga", I would name my file:CandyCrushSaga,Maria.PNG
. (Use your web name instead of FirstName if you prefer to be more anonymous, e..g, CanyCrushSaga,HappyPixels.PNG.
- A text file: called HW1.txt
Please answer these questions in this texts file (please also turn in a hard copy/printout of this file the Tuesday after the assignment is due).

(2 c) What is critique of the game itself (the good, and the bad)?
To submit these files, you will need to use the submit program. Since files are under a common subdirectory called "HW1". Execute the below command line whiled directly under the 4070 (or 6070 directory you created (and just above the HW1 directory):
submit HW1 csx070
Set up set your space on the web - create gallery, or an index page; to catalog your games (denote the URL), then complete this surveymonkey survey:

(you will give your name, and set a secret name that we can use to report your scores on projects and assignments, the survey allows us to collect your name, and secret name directly into our grade book, you will be re-asked about your favorite game, please try to give the same answer as above.
Grade Criteria:
Grade 50 points total:
10 points for message sent to class list (5 points for 2 sentence introduction, 10 points if it is more interesting).
05 points for emailing image , correct image format (JPG format),
and naming of file (including adding XXX for if an image restriction indication).
05 points for favorite game image (PNG format, naming convention)
15 points for answering the 3 questiosn (5 pts each question)
10 points setting up gallery web page.
05 points for survey monkey survey
