One page write-up, include a schedule of milestones, and estimations of the level of effort for each milestone.

Intermediate Report 04/19 Tue One page write-up, report on what you done, lessons learned and what you have left to do.
Final Report Report last week of class Final report and presentation.

General Guidelines:

The final project is deliberately free form so you can focus either on creativity OR technical abilities or both.

Theme: [artificial] [0|1] light - light and dark (0) Static: everynight, something that happens every day. Scenes that occured - city at night, headlight - long exposure, long trails from car lights, architecture at night, just the way things (1) Can't duplicate, City for the people : emotion - lonely, under street light, insight of something, something that evokes something emotional.

Theme: Human writing - feature writing as central theme. different cultures. macro photography, building a light box. graffiti, raised ink. think about lighting here to highligh the texture, e.g., top/down lighting will not work, so you need side lighting. piece of glass and write on the board. the tools. flickr inspiration. historic theme. writing language, communication.

5:

Theme: Product photography, liquid in glass, glassware, empty glass, dark field photography, light field photography, James Bond product. Tutorial to get the edges of the glass. Point us to the tutorial.

Dark future movies, atmospheric, stop motion, dark sci-fi, color light, pointed light, shadows. story. original story. Film Noir. Technoir. Figure out the story. Flash lights, differents lights.

Stars/constellations, no trials, draw out constellations. Scavenger Hunt. Presentation.

8:

Theme: Bokeh. Object in the background. Apurture lesson. Open the lens and focus on the subject. Use what I have f/4. 180. Zone plates. Shapes. Experiment with bokeh, looks at it with different point of views - and touch them - (1) shapes (2) light bokeh (3) out focus areas. Diptych.

Theme: Movie. Stop motion video. Vimeo, Flickr, YouTube. 29 frames second 103. Present an image more than once? Shooting on the weekend. Last week of April. Make sure you use free music. jamendo.com. Hitchock. Dolly. Rails. Different focal lengths, make sure it flows together nicely. Flow of the day. following a person, pan up to sky. 4x6s. picture in a picture, and the presantation echoes the images. Motion idea.

Theme: Infrared. Filter. Long time exposure, static scenes. hand held. old SLRs. Infront of the CCD. Dark glass fitler. 30-50 dollars. Grab anew used 2nd hand camera. Bjorn Rorslett. Post processing. landscape static scenes. skin. comparative study with post processing techniques vs. a real infrared filter/camera.

Theme: Time lapse photography. Have learned what doesn't work. Flowering tree in the yard - not a good subject. 30 feet away. garage window - window throws light into cmara. Wind. blur. Motion challenge. different intervals of time. classic flower blossom. stop motion effect. Earth - PBS series.
